Downtown Chitown

There is a sense of gloom
Lingering over this city
The trees have shed their blooms
Hanging their heads in pity
Sidewalks, trampled on
They crack at the seams
As pedestrians walk heal to toe
With uniformed equestrians
The fall of commerce has begun
Just like the fall of rain
On the homeless’s domain
Not alcohol nor quantum physics
Can solve these equations
This math far surpasses
The minds of all men
And their elations
There is no Relation
