Deconstruction Worker

When she’s not in my bed
She’s constantly circling
Around in my head
Thoughts, they flutter by
Reminding me of better times
When blue was the color of our sky
We used to kiss
We used to laugh
I’ll admit I never liked to dance
It never stopped our love from growing
It was my words and actions
That caused us to loose our traction
Today there is a glimmer of hope
A lone brick removed
From a wall that I help build
I am now a retired Mason
