Colorblind

I wrote this way back in October of 1999…

I’ve had enough of all your faces
And how you show no love for the races
I’ve had enough of all this hatred
I can’t understand how skin can dictate
I see myself in every shade
Every shade you can conceive
Is it really what you see or what you’re taught to believe?
Because I can’t believe your so fucking blind
You live a life of immorality
Black, red, white, yellow it’s all the same to me
Brothers we were born of the same seed

Color is but a name
To keep us from seeing that we’re all the same
Color is but a name
To keep us from seeing that we’re all the same

I am colorblind
In the eyes of my open mind
I am colorblind
I see through the skin to the heart and mind
